She was predeceased by: her father James Wesley Hughes Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Mary Alice Scopin (Cesar); her children, William Hughes, Anthony, Carly Thomas, Dezyrae Hughes and Daniel Douglas Jr.; her brothers, James Hughes Jr. and Joseph Hughes (Jennifer); her niece Kassidy Hughes; and her nephews, Kamedon Hughes and Trentyn Hughes.

Memorial Contributions in Denise's name may be made to Hospice at St. Mary's.
