He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Thomas and Ruby E. Gardner; his wife Freida Clevenger Thomas; his son Danny E. Thomas; and his siblings, Charles L. Thomas, Edward Thomas, William "Bill" Thomas and Betty Adams.
He is survived by: his son Richard "Dickie" Thomas (Bonnie) of Dover, DE..
