With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emily Marie Thomas of Grasonville, Maryland, who passed away on August 21, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George F. Shanks and Lena E. Sterling Shanks; her husband Medford "Plugsy" Thomas, Jr.; and her brother G. Franklin Shanks. She is survived by: her children, George M. Thomas (Betty), Tina Thomas, Charles W. Thomas (John) and Phyllis D. Busta (Bill); her siblings, Mary E. Davidson, Patricia A. Smith (Harold), Phyllis E. Austin (Carlton) and Henry E. O'Donnell (Debbie); her grandchildren, James M. Truitt, Daniel C. Truitt, George M. Thomas, Jr., Virginia M. Bargerstock and Katelyn M. Compton; and her close friend Barb Sturgis. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
