It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Y. Humbertson (Grantsville, Maryland), who passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Shirley departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Shirley leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Farris and Oda F. Farris (Goodwin); her husband Kenneth R. Humbertson; and her brother Paul R. Farris. She is survived by: her siblings, Donna Ravenscroft (Bill) of Winchester, VA, Janet Lohr (Richard) of Bergton, VA and Gary Farris of Piedmont, WV. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
