It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rhoda Fern Durst (Grantsville, Maryland), who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Orville and Annie May Bittinger (Durst); her husband Ernest "Cricket" Durst; her son Bradley Clark Durst; and her siblings, Iva May Hetrick, Sadie Alverda Bittinger, Earl William Bittinger, Simon Henry Bittinger, Robert Lee Bittner, Lula Victoria Durst and Orville Harvey Bittinger.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Durst (Glenn), Ernest "Ernie" Durst and Phyllis Ann Durst; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Vaughn (Tonya) and Wolfsville; her child Tobby Durst; her great grandchildren, Dana Vaughn (Matt Delisi) of Monrovia, MD, Shelby Vaughn and Wolfsville; her granddaughter Connie Garlitz; and her sister-in-law Thelma Bittinger Ickes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
