He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Hoffman and Pauline Hoffman (Brandenburg); his grandparents, William V., Hilda Hoffman, Sr., Roy and Sadie Brandenburg; and his brother Frank Albert Newman.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Miriam Fischer; his siblings, Sharon Hoffman Hall (Mike) and Donald E. Hoffman; and his nephews, Nicholas James Coomes and Christopher Coomes. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
