She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Glotfelty and Ruth Glotfelty Dipaolo; her brother Dr. Scott Glotfelty; and her pets, Joey and Jackson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Claire, Caitlin and Meredith; her sons-in-law, Scott Vogt, Steven Tvardzik and Harold Ervin; her grandsons, Leo and Callan; and her siblings, Rodney Glotfelty (Marci), Carol (Kevin Bass) and Barry Glotfelty (Lisa Sheirer).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to charities supporting causes close to Joan's heart, such as education, social justice, and the pursuit of equality.
