He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Shirey and Carrie Shirey (Bowman); and his wife Mary Ann Kooken. He is survived by: his sister Ruby Shoemaker (Butch); and his nieces and nephews, Susan, Karen Pitrolo (Jim) and Lisbeth Joy (Jerry). He is also survived by three granddaughters, five great-grandchildren and his cat.
