He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Merle and Betty Mae Granger (Wagner); and his stepbrother William "Billy" Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Renee Granger (Neff); his children, Gary Merle Granger, II (Brittany Michelle Conn), Bethany Renee Granger (Tyler Vincent) and Mallory Mae Granger (Darrien Kristiansen) of Virginia; his stepbrothers, Bob Granger and Michael Hayes; his sister Robin Troutman; his stepsisters, Patty Walters and Debbie Miller; and his grandson Aaron.
