It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Louise Bittinger (Grantsville, Maryland), who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl H. Durst and Shirley Durst (Morrison); her husband Blair Fay Bittinger of Grantsville; and her brother Larry Wayne Durst. She is survived by: her children, Blair "Petey" Bittinger (Candie) of Grantsville, Allen "Mouse" Bittinger (Kathy) of Grantsville and Joni Bittinger Weimer of Grantsville; her grandchildren, Tyler Bittinger (Stephanie) of Grantsville, Shawnie Bittinger of Grantsville, Torri Hook (Cameron) of Grantsville, Dakota Bittinger of Grantsville, Katlyn Weimer of Grantsville and Taylor Bittinger (Zachary Hallenbeck) of Grantsville; her great grandchildren, Luke, Peyton Bittinger and Josie Hook; her stepmother Sharon Durst; and her siblings, Carl "Rick" Durst (Millie) of Grantsville, Robert "Jake" Durst (Bev) of Grantsville, Gerry Durst (Ellie) of Grantsville, Carl Durst (Shelly) of Grantsville, Brian Durst (Lori) of Grantsville, Ethel "Beth" Wiley of Grantsville, Karen Durst of Grantsville, Susan Durst of Grantsville and Missy Butler (Jeff) of Salisbury, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
