He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Hare and Etta Hare (Bittinger). He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Hare (Knox); his children, Timothy Earl Hare (Donna) of Edgewater, MD and Chrystal Joy Sheckels (John) of McHenry, MD; and his grandchildren, Candice Larner, Raymond Smith, Amber Brant, John Sheckels, Jr. and Christina Moats. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
