She was predeceased by: her parents, Bowen "Jack" Starkey and Georgia Stowman Starkey; her siblings, Loretta Reynolds and Edward Starkey; and her grandsons, Brandon Roe and Jahlil Hunter.
She is survived by: her friend Gail Butler; her pets, Bella and Lucy; her husband Ronald "Buddy" Roe of Goldsboro, MD; her children, Lisa Barney (William), Ronny Roe (Kathy), Samuel Roe (Karen), Laura Johnson (Jim) and Buddy Roe (Chrissy); her grandchildren, Nicole, Wayne, Brooke, Karen, Shawn, Brent, Josh, Amber, Taylor, Joey, Randi, Danielle, LaQue, Tia and Patricia; and her siblings, Linda Gustafson (Lee) and Charles Starkey. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
