He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Berger, Sr. and Rosellen L. Cole Berger; his grandson Justin; and his stepson Tommy. He is survived by: his wife Delinia of Goldsboro; his daughters, Sheri Hancock (Wes) and Jenni Middleton (Mike); his stepdaughter Lorrie Mitchell (Joe); his grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell (Donny), Juli Hancock, Alex Hancock and Mitch Middleton (Monica); and his pets, Sandy, Darcey and Jazmin. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
