With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darla Dougherty in Goldsboro, Maryland, who passed away on February 14, 2025 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darla Dougherty to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl H. Welty Jr. and Leta M. Welty; and her daughter Erica J. Welty. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Dougherty of Goldsboro, MD; her daughter Hollie McMullen of Milford; her stepsons, Daniel of Wilmington and Brandon Dougherty of Wilmington; her siblings, Susan Messick, Kay Skinner of Milford, Sharon Legates of Camden, Earl H. Welty and Rick Welty of Felton; and her grandchildren, Nathaniel Colon of Lincoln, Cheyenne, Hezekiah Welty of Elkton, MD, Sierra and Kaylie McMullen of Milford. She is also survived by 2 other grandchildren; 9 nieces and nephews and finally, many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lofland Funeral Home (102 Lakeview Ave, Milford, DE 19963). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of Flowers, dish gardens can be donated to the family so we can keep her green thumb around for years to come. You may also donate to offset some of the funeral costs that can be sent directly to Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford Delaware 19963.
