With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley S. Jones of Glen Burnie, Maryland, who passed away on July 3, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bryant Winslow Sykes, Sr. and Erma Evelyn Sykes; her husband Robert Jones of Glen Burnie; and her siblings, Winny Sykes, Jr., Marion Sykes, Bill Sykes, Butch Sykes and Connie Sykes.

She is survived by: her children, Robert N. Jones, Jr. (Melinda), William Jones (Carolyn), Jennifer Jones (Dave Willie) and Valerie Gilman (Jeff); her siblings, Berry, David Sykes, Evelyn Kadan, Genia Bryant, Carolyn Fuhr and Judy Schimenant; her grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Delaney, Jeffrey Gilman, Madison, Morgan, Brad, Bobby and Kelsey Jones; and her great grandchild Lee Gilman.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to North County Emergency Outreach Network (https://olchesapeake.org) or Glen Burnie United Methodist church.
