He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Harriet Valenza; his children, Michael Hughes (Kelly Hughes) and Melissa Hughes; his grandchildren, Michael Hughes (Samantha), Brittney Harper (Alan), Justin Hughes and Kristin Wright (David); and his great grandchildren, Liam, Jack, Kwintyn, Noah and Angel.
