He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Davis, Sr. and Grace E. McCormick Davis; his sisters, Kay Tasker (Hugh) and Linda Ducharme (Richard); and his niece Julie Ann Ulrich.

He is survived by: his close friend Linda Pascoe; and his sisters, Jackie Hughes of Iowa and Carolyn Strickland of Texas.
