He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Lester Leonard and Elsie Gustava Leonard; his wife Kathryn Reist Leonard; and his son John Irwin Leonard (Irv). He is survived by: his children, Jerry L. Leonard, Jr. (Jay) and Deborah L. Vogan (Debbie); his children-in-law, Jeffrey P. Vogan and Kristen M. Leonard (Kris); his grandchildren, Elizabeth R. Leonard, Danielle J. Johnston, Jennifer K., Taylor A. Wilding, Robert J., Rachel E. Vogan, Kyle T. Vogan and Benjamin L. Vogan; and his great grandchild Noa R. Wilding.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kirkley Ruddick Funeral Home (421 Crain Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (5829 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21225).
