It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Jennie Blackburn-Moore (Glen Burnie, Maryland), who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Evelyn Jennie departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Evelyn Jennie may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Evelyn Jennie leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Blackburn, and Rosie Blackburn, Sr.; her son Boyd A. Moore; and her grandson Mark E. Moore Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Donna Y. Moore, Kenneth P. Moore, Mark E. Moore Sr. and Christopher C. Moore Sr.; her daughter-in-law Tonica Bouyer-Moore; and her former husband Boyd Moore Jr.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the John Wesley United Methodist Church (6922 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Saints Rest Cemetery (7310 Ridge Rd, Hanover, MD 21076).
