It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andre Michael Kirksey (Glen Burnie, Maryland), who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Leonor Sevilla Kirksey. He is survived by: his sister Denise; his children, Lloyd Dawson, Alfonso Aviles, Jessica Aviles, Tony Sevilla, Andre Kirksey, Jr. and Leomari Kirksey; his parents, Tommie Kirksey and Patricia Body; his siblings, Dan Allen (Alda), Katrina Kirksey, Tabatha Kirksey and Michelle Ward; and his grandchildren, Jessenia, Carlito, Aliyana, Carmelo and Mariah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and close friends.

“I was just talking to Andre the day before about his truck that he put a junk yard engine in and needed $5000 to get it back from the mechanic. He received a phone call and we never finished the conversation. It was about a week later discovered after a tip from the neighbors that he might have died. I was very sorry to hear it and will miss him. He had been reading a book written by my friend Brian Warburton called the Truth About Trucking. He told me that he and Brian had very similar lives.”
