She was predeceased by: her parents, Josef and Maria Maerkl (Selmeier); her brothers, Sebastian, Andreas, Xavier, Konrad, Paul and Wast Maerkl; and her granddaughter Jennifer Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Roman Eugene Ratych of Fallston, Mark Theodore Ratych of Rockville, Margaret Katherine Fisher of Kentucky and Irene Maria Clifton of Virginia; her grandsons, Matthew Green, Brian Green, Jeffrey Smith, Peter Smith and Timothy Smith; and her siblings, Maria Moos and Adolf Maerkl.
