He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ernest Bannister, Sr. and Jessie Bannister; and his spouse Claire Bannister. He is survived by: his son James Bryan Bannister Sr. (Kalle) of Germantown, MD.; and his grandchildren, James B. Bannister, Jr. of Rockville, MD, Stacy Grimes (Bradley) of Germantown, MD, Jason P. Bannister (Emily) of Kensington, MD, Kimberly Wilson (David) of Forest Hill, MD and Kristine Schenck (Robert) of Northfield, NJ.. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
