He is survived by: his wife Catherine Sawyer; his children, Robert Sawyer and Jasmine Hawkins (Craig Hawkins); his siblings, Kitty Sawyer Pickett, Elwood Sawyer and Richard Sawyer; and his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Sewell, Jacqueline Offutt (Darryl Houston) and Mary Sawyer. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
