She was predeceased by: her parent Eleanor Prather; and her brother Ernest Prather. She is survived by: her children, Wandy Prather, Janet Claggett, George Claggett, Sr. (Letetia), Thomas Claggett, Jr., Charles Claggett, Sr. and William Claggett (Lolita); and her sister Elsie Idella Jacobs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
