He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph T. Tinnen, Sr. and Bessie Mae Exum Tinnen; and his siblings, Brenda D. Stewart, Shirleeta M. Tinnen and Phillip A. Tinnen.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela R. Sims-Tinnen; his daughters, Maresha L. Tinnen and Jayda T. Tinnen; his stepdaughter Cheryce E. Coleman; his sons, Joseph T. Tinnen, III, Jamal T. Tinnen and Jordan O. Tinnen; his siblings, Dewanda M. Tinnen and Dana Andre Tinnen; and his stepmother Mary J. Tinnen. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
