He is survived by: his wife Betty M. Pumphrey; his children, Cynthia D. Pumphrey and Richard W. Pumphrey; his grandson Brandon M. Msendo; his son-in-law Hamisi J. Msendo; his sister Charlotte Thomas (Cleon); and his siblings-in-law, Faye Johnson and William Dorsey. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
