With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Georgia Cordelia Groomes of Germantown, Maryland, born in Olney, Maryland, who passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father William DeMar; her siblings, Margaret, Thomas and James; her aunt Edna (Tiny); her daughter Joyce; and her son-in-law Roland Colbert.

She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Riggs; her son Anthony (Nikora); her grandchildren, Erica (Joseph), Jay (Jordan), Alaira, Asaun and Amia; and her great grandchildren, Kyla, Kayson, Lennox and Briana.
