It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Cox Garner of Georgetown, Maryland, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Cox, Jr. and Hortense Beare Cox; her husband Sanford Garner; and her sons, Sanford Garner III and James Allen Garner.
She is survived by: her brother Allen Cox III of Memphis, Tennessee; her son Robert Reiney Garner; and her daughter-in-law Shannon H Garner.
She served on the boards of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution and of the Institute for Mental Health Initiatives.
