She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Matthis and Eloma Griffin Matthis; her husband LD Helford; and her children, Linda Howard and Darryl Helford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine King (Karl) of Linthicum and Mary Ingwersen (Rob) of Annapolis; and her grandchildren, Matthew Nowakowski, Erin DeHaas, Bryan Howard, Shawn Helford and Cory Helford. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hardesty Funeral Home - Gambrills (851 Annapolis Rd, Gambrills, MD 21054). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (1283 Odenton Rd, Odenton, MD 21113). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (1911 Forest Dr, Annapolis, MD 21401).
