He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Safford and Florence Safford; and his sister Barbara "Lynn" Huff. He is survived by: his pets, Misa, Witchie, Muffin, Sammie, Shetland Sheepdogs, Gus and Alex; his wife Ruthie; his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Huff; his nephew Christopher "Chris" Huff (Stacey); his niece Elizabeth "Libby" Crawley; his great-nephew Charles "Charley" Huff; his great-nieces, Leah Huff and Sara Crawley; and his friend Charles "Ched" Bradley (Jenny). He is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
