With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Gies Bernstein of Gambrills, Maryland, born in Annapolis, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Gerard Gies and Regina Madeleine Gies; her husband Charles William Bernstein (Bill); and her siblings, Miriam Boschert, Joanne Dowgwillo, Eileen Malagari, Walter Fairley Gies, Donald Gies, Roland Gies, Ralph Gies and Eugene Gies.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carrie Shahady (Joseph) and Andrea Louth (Jason); her grandchildren, Connor Shahady, Madeleine Shahady, Preston Louth and Blake Louth; and her sisters, Theresa Rosemary Prophet and Jeannette Connelly.
