He is survived by: his sons, Richard Hurtt (Christina) of Sudlersville, Ron Hurtt (Tonia) of Smyrna, Robert Hurtt (Rachel) of Chestertown, Roger Hurtt of Galena and Rodney Hurtt (Crystal) of Sevierville, Tennessee.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
