Sybil E. Jones Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sybil E. Jones (Gaithersburg, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 19, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Victor Johnson and Meta Elizabeth Tubbs; her husband Maurice Jones Sr.; her children, Dawn Jones, Maurice Jones Jr. and Camille Jones; and her daughter-in-law Daphne Jones.
She is survived by: her extended family Sybil; and her children, Gerald Jones, Desiree Marcus (Gladstone), Selwyn Jones (June), Corinne Robertson and Garfield Jones (Rebecca). She is also survived by 3 siblings; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (119 N Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the Parklawn Memorial Park (12800 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853).
