She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Peters and Catherine Peters; her brother Jack; her husband Eddie; her children, Joan Kirk, Edward Stakem, Jr. (Jane), Catherine Norris (Pete), Martin Stakem, Joseph Stakem and Ruth Lyon (Duke); and her niece Debra Carbone (Mike). She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and six great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
