She is survived by: her parents, Don Benson and Mary Benson; her spouse Gary Lorne Abrecht; her daughters, Karen Tompros (Louis Tompros) of Massachusetts and Rachel Abrecht-Litchfield (Todd Litchfield); and her siblings, Sally Benson (Steve Nichols) of California, Margaret Benson Walker (Ben Walker) of Georgia and Donald D. Benson (Ann Giles Benson) of North Carolina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
