She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Douglas Vickers and Gladys Elaine Vickers (Jackson). She is survived by: her friend Steve Willey; her children, William Freeman Jr. (Samia), Kevin Freeman and Danielle Mason (Samuel); her grandchildren, Shakeela Echols-Thomas, Serena Echols-Thomas, Syana Echols-Freeman, Sade Freeman, William Echols-Freeman, Alexander Mason and Spencer Stora; and her siblings, Carol Hill (Stan), Dan Vickers Jr. (Aungelique), Sharon Lewis (Keith), Larry Vickers (Darlene) and Dana Carson.

She was a part of several ministries where she led the Firm Foundation Education Ministry and Sunday School.
