Delmas P Wood wrote a sympathy message

“I got to know Halsey over the past several years as a member of our weekly Bible Study. He had a deep interest in the Bible and loved to ask questions and discuss it. I always knew him to be a caring, friendly man who cared about and loved people I knew he had rendered great service to our country through his time in the Marines, but never knew him to speak much about himself. I am thankful to have known him and have the hope in Christ to see him again. Delmas "Woodie" Wood”
