With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick Hejl of Gaithersburg, Maryland, who passed away on July 23, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hejl and Evelyn Hejl (Kotalik); his wife Myra; and his siblings-in-law, George Bares and Lea Hejl.

He is survived by: his daughter Courtney Melvin (Dan) of Palmyra, VA; and his siblings, Loretta Kortan (Robert), Mary Ellen Bares of Tabor, Len Hejl of Yankton and Ken Hejl (Sharon) of Brandon.

He had a strong Catholic faith and never missed a Sunday service even during COVID and his time in the hospital.
