She was predeceased by: her father Richard Webster Hunter Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Lauris Jonell Hunter (Butler); and her sons, David, John, Andrew and Michael. She is also survived by spouses; 12 grandchildren.

“Lauris and Harding boys, I was so, so sad to hear the news about Dawn. We didn't get together after the Politics & Prose event you came to, and that teaches me a lesson for the future. She was a wonderful neighbor and mom. I remember she helped me sew wimples and merry-men hats for a Robin Hood birthday party for 5-year-old Eamonn (and by "helped," I mean she sewed them all) . What a family legacy -- so many grandchildren! And loving sons. I'll be tuning into the Zoom. xox, Bonnie B.”
