It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Fortune (Gaithersburg, Maryland), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on October 29, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Shirley Holmes and Clifford Blakely; her husband William Auburn Fortune; her children, Tracey Johnson, Ayeola Fortune, Alafia Fortune, Kazembe Fortune and Kwamina Fortune; her grandchildren, Akeem Henderson, Rashad Banks, Hadiya Hewitt, Anike Banks, Amirah Hewitt and Ajane Johnson; and her great grandchild Nuriyah Banks.
