He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Dove and Aline Dove; his wife Gladys A. Dove; and his siblings, Elizabeth Nelson, Christine Underwood, Lloyd Ferrell, Nathaniel Dove, Leroy Dove and Ralph Dove.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Summerour (Jay), Calvin Jr. (Mary Jowanna), Kenneth, Maria and Edward Dove; his siblings, Alene Dove, Phyllis Waters, Lilly Hope Williams and William Dove; and his sister-in-law Robin Brown. He is also survived by his children, he leaves behind ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
