She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Coulter and Elsie Mae Coulter (Best); her sons, James "Jimmy" Leroy Shank, Jr., Kevin Dodson and Melvin Dodson; her husbands, James Leroy Shank and Bedford Dodson; her siblings, Doretha Hanes, Janet Gemberling and Leroy Coulter; and her granddaughter Ashley.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel "Danny" Dodson (Annette) and Gloria Shank Yazdani; her grandchildren, Dawn Dodson Norris, Danny Dodson, Chris Dodson, Spencer Anderson, Amanda Yazdani, Angie Yazdani, Zane Yazdani, James "Jimmy" Shank, III, Merle Dodson, Melvin Dodson, Andy Schatz and Philip Schatz; and her sister Mary Louise Coulter Horman. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
