He was predeceased by: his parent Lloyd Bittinger; his son-in-law Mike Wilt; his brothers-in-law, Eugene Baker and John Ritchie; and his parents-in-law, Dolly Ritchie and Red Ritchie.
He is survived by: his parent Lula Hare Bittinger; his wife Carol Ritchie Hare; his children, Kevin Hare (Pam), Wayne William Hare (Cindy), Shawn Hare and Tonya Wilt; his grandchildren, Sherri Padovini (Brian), Christin Keating, Nicole Hare, Anna Wilt and Shawnda Hare; his great grandchildren, Mikayla Albright, Evan Padovini, Bentley Hare and Mason Thrasher; his siblings, Kate Baker, Brenda Bittinger (Gary), Judy Myers (Gene) and Kenneth Bittinger (Sandy); and also Wesley Harper.
