She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Lewis and Ida Mae Blank (Williams); her husband Ronald Lee Atkinson; and her sisters, Donna Rosenberger and LeEsta Skidmore.
She is survived by: her children, Russell Atkinson (Lisa), Cathy Roque and Sandra Jones (Bill); her grandchildren, Bridget Bomar-Roque, Jennifer Roque, Angel Roque and Nathan Atkinson; her great grandchildren, Cameron Privette and Landen Atkinson; and her sisters, Brenda Lepry and Marsha Blank.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations, in Shirley's name, be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
