He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert A. Brodbeck and Betty Lou Brodbeck (Hyde); and his brother James R. "Pirate" Morgan. He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Cespedes (Mike), Anna Connor (Bob) and Jeff Brodbeck (Lori). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Herb will most certainly be missed. I worked with him for approximately 15 years. I will always remember him for his kindness and dry sense of humor, shooting guns, hunting etc. We were both veterans and stood for everything the Red, White & Blue represents. I spoke to him just a few weeks back once he found out that he was sick and he sounded great for someone in his condition. I am glad that we spoke and shared a few laughs. I send my condolences and know that I will see him again. Jeremy Gray”
