He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Layton (Jake) and Clara Edith Layton (McKenzie); and his siblings, Jim, Howard (Charlie), Johnny, Paul, Lawrence, Emma Louise Albright (Layton) and Nancy Layton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert A. Layton, Betty Fair (Layton), Phyllis Deal (Layton), Donna Saylor (Layton) and Debra Brenneman (Layton). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Durst Funeral Home (57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD 21532). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
