He was predeceased by: his parents, Lex Leo Merrill and Delores Merrill (Chaney); his brothers, James Merrill and Walter "Doc" Merrill; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Sigler and Patricia Leake.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Merrill (Leake); his sons, Michael Merrill and Timothy Merrill (Candy); his stepson Steven Densmore (Amy); his stepgrandchildren, Madison Densmore and Regan Densmore; and his siblings, Sandi Rose, Joan Howser (David), Lex Merrill (Rachel), Deborah Broman (Donald), Robert Merrill (Carol) and Kim Pannone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Durst Funeral Home (57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD 21532). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Frostburg Memorial Park (70 Green St, Frostburg, MD 21532).
