He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings and Margaret Shertzer (Byrnes); his siblings, Mary Theresa Kallmyer, John Shertzer and Willam Shertzer; and his nephew Gregory Kallmyer.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Wellings Shertzer; his children, Theresa Cunnigham (Pat), Julie Lloyd (Bob), Jim Shertzer (Daniell) and Diane Shertzer; his grandchildren, Adam Lloyd (Brandi), Kelli Negley (Michael), Bryan Cunningham (Julie), Matthew Cunningham (Megan), Benjamin Shertzer (Amber) and William Shertzer; and his great grandchildren, Nora, Jennings, Miles Lloyd, Carson, Cameron, Eloise and Ezra Cunningham.
