He was predeceased by: his father Frank Duncan; and his brothers, Frank "Wootsie" Duncan and John "Buck" Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Elaine B. Duncan; his son James H. Duncan II; his adoptive son P. J. Burbank; his stepchildren, Lorie Burbank and Perry Burbank; his grandchildren, Alexis Duncan, James H. Duncan III, Alyssa Duncan, Brianna Duncan and Johnathan Duncan; his great grandchild Aubrey Mavel; and his sisters, Willa Jean Reed and Sandra DeLorge.
