He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Raymond and Beatrice Phillips Matthews; and his wife Trudy Deason Matthews. He is survived by: his children, Jack Matthews (Josephine) of Hilton Head, SC, Paul Matthews of Springdale, PA and Anne Hendershot (Lewis) of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessie, Lesley and Kelly; and his sister Carol Lee (Hugh) of Middleton, IN.. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
